60 Amp 12v Source

Check out my remote start DIY for a location on the under dash fuse panel for +12. The spade terminal that I show in the guide is actually a location for a fusible link for an option that we don't get on this side of the globe. You can slide a 1/4" female spade terminal onto the supply side of the link position and then add an appropriately sized wire and fuse. The tap point is a 60A circuit, so you can safely add a 15 or 20 amp fused circuit to it.

Go under ur driver side dash, behind the scan tool plug a bit upward, u will see a fuse box, there are some open fuse plug, u will be able to find full time 12V or ign on 12V. use a V meter ground it and try out those empty fuse if u read 12v than that's the full time 12V, to get the ign on 12V simply just turn ur key to on and see any those 0V spot got a 12V reading now ^_____^

  • Fog Light Relay (90987-02027 or 82998-24380)

Or, if you're installing aftermarket fogs without the stalk switch, you can fire the indicator directly by supplying 12V to the red wire on Pin 7 of the D2 connector on the combination meter.
The relays that we posted are the same (his is a better deal though). There are a bunch of different Toyota part numbers that all are identical in form, fit and function.
With the fog switch, unless you buy the real Toyota one you may have some issues. When you use the fuse panel relay method, the fog lights just need a switch to connect pin 2 to pin 3 on the headlight stalk. The OEM switch separates this switch from the lighting input for the indicators on the switch.
The problem with a lot of the aftermarket switches is that they combine the switch circuit with the indicator lighting circuit. This causes one of the indicators to remain on, even when the car is off.
